We are currently looking for a Customer Service Representative to support our customers and help keep operations running smoothly! Under general supervision, the Customer Service Representative interacts with customers to provide information in response to inquiries about products and services and to handle and resolve complaints. The position will involve manually moving products and other materials or performing the delivery of customer equipment. In addition, the Customer Service Representative performs minor maintenance of loaned equipment. The tasks listed below include essential functions, and depending on the assignment, the employee may perform a combination of some or all the following duties.
Specific Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, including inquiries, complaints, comments, and resolutions.
- Communicate with customers by phone or in person to provide product and service information, process orders, and resolve inquiries or complaints.
- Respond to customer inquiries and provide updates on claim investigations, planned adjustments, or resolutions.
- Calculate service charges, collect deposits or payments, and manage billing arrangements.
- Promote and solicit sales of new or additional products and services.
- Adhere to safety protocols when transporting and delivering hazardous or sensitive goods.
- Properly secure cargo for transport using appropriate equipment (ropes, blocks, chains, binders, or covers).
- Review load-related documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Obtain receipts or signatures for delivered goods and collect payment as required.
- Safely lift and move heavy materials in compliance with workplace safety standards.
- Coordinate product testing to identify and resolve malfunctions.
- Apply strong knowledge of inventory management and equipment handling.
- Assist the Plant Manager with inventory control and operational oversight.
- Utilize mechanical knowledge and experience to troubleshoot and maintain equipment.
- Certified forklift operator with proven ability to safely operate and maintain equipment.
- Recognized as a proactive problem solver with strong analytical and hands-on skills.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support business operations.
Requirements
- Some combination of education and/or related experience in the field is preferred. One to two years of relevant training or on-the-job experience is a plus.
- A valid Class C driver's license and a clean driving record are required.
- Forklift certified
Hours and Pay
- Monday through Friday 7am-4pm
- $22 per hour
