Job Overview: The Director of Human Resources forms part of the Club’s leadership team who collectively make key strategic and operational decisions for the business.

The Director will oversee all aspects of the human resources division including payroll and benefits administration, employee relations, recruitment and retention of staff, on-boarding, communication to staff, career development of staff, wage & hour compliance, and training.

The Director of Human Resources will ensure that the Company operates within all related local and federal employment laws and regulations along with any other regulatory requirements.

Reports to: General Manager | Asset Manager Supervises: Assistant Director of Human Resources

Key Relationships: Internal: All Employees, Department Managers, GM and Ownership External: Benefits vendors

QUALIFICATIONS: Preferred Qualifications and Skills: We are looking for an individual who is strategic, analytical, has solid business acumen, great communication skills along with strong leadership and interpersonal skills; prior luxury hotel, resort or Club experience is preferred, but not essential.

The ideal candidate will be a talented, people and culture leader who is hands-on with demonstrated experience with employee relations.

Required Experience/Skills/Knowledge: · Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or a related discipline · Prior experience as a property HR leader (3-5 years) · Prior experience with recruitment, training, employee relations, and workers’ compensation. PHR / SPHR Certification a plus · Working knowledge of Labor laws is advantageous · Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite · Ability to work independently and uphold a strict level of confidentiality, ethical decision making, and professional discretion · Excellent emotional intelligence and interpersonal skills · Excellent communication (both verbal and written) · Excellent organizational and time management skills · Highly motivated and high energy · Good problem solver / creative thinker

Manage the Talent Acquisition Strategy: · Partner with the GM and leadership team to understand and execute the human resource and talent strategy particularly as it relates to current and future talent needs, recruiting, retention, and succession planning · Manage the talent acquisition process, including recruitment, interviewing, and hiring of qualified job applicants Execute the Learning and Development Strategy: · Manage the Learning and Development strategy · Execute effective employee and leader onboarding · Develop and execute continuous education training and initiatives · Manage and facilitate learning and development programs and initiatives that provide internal development opportunities for employees · Manage annual talent review process and succession planning, together with GM. Lead and Manage Employee Relations: · Maintain and create new team member recognition programs, ensuring team member engagement and satisfaction · Foster an open-door policy for all staff levels

· Respond to and address all staff complaints, concerns, and issues that escalate to human resources, instituting new policies as needed to address issues and ensure policy enforcement · Oversee progressive disciplinary process, employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and any investigations · Administer, monitor, and maintain annual employee review process, surveys and follow up Manage Benefit and HR Administration: · Maintain and update HR processes and procedures, including; on-boarding, off-boarding, compliance, recruiting, team member communications, and recognition · Liaise between all benefit vendors and staff including Health, Dental, Vision and act as point person for employees to contact with concerns and questions · Analyze trends in compensation and benefits; researches and proposes competitive base and incentive pay programs to ensure the organization attracts and retains top talent · Review and/or create job descriptions for each position in collaboration with department heads. Maintain Regulatory Compliance: · Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommend best practices · Maintain accurate employee records and update the process as needed · Collaborate with all department heads to ensure policies and protocols are followed · Ensure all safety plans, protocols, and training are current and correct · Manage all worker's compensation, unemployment hearings and provide all necessary documentation · Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law · Responsible for planning and conducting educational programs for management staff on all relevant topics such as progressive discipline, diversity, sexual harassment, FMLA, or other topics of interest
