Immediate need for a Materials Management Associate in Orange County, CA who possess:

• 1-2 years of professional experience in the following areas: Supply Chain, Inventory Control, and Record-Keeping

Key responsibilities include:

• Evaluate suppliers by considering price, quality, availability, and other criteria

• Interview vendors and visit suppliers’ facilities to learn about products and pricing

• Negotiate contracts with vendors and suppliers to obtain the best deals on behalf of the company

• Verify purchases by comparing them to a master list, and recommending alternatives for expensive/irrelevant product

• Interact with suppliers to schedule delivery times and resolve shipping errors

• Monitor the company’s inventory levels to help understand purchasing needs and schedule orders

• Keep and file records of purchase orders, contracts, and receiving documents

• Work with warehouse staff to compare deliveries with purchase orders to identify any discrepancies
