Position Overview:

Looking to hire an assistant butler to work alongside family’s Butler/House manager in Jupiter Island FL. Primary residence in Jupiter Island however, candidate may be required to travel to the family’s New Jersey home to assist during the summer months.

 

Schedule:

• Regular schedule: Approximately 50 hours per week. Wednesday – Sunday (with flexibility for events, travel, and holidays)

 

Primary Responsibilities:

Formal Service & Entertaining

• Provide formal dining service, including table setting, plating, and beverage service
• Assist with the preparation and execution of family gatherings and formal dinners

Household Operations

• Support the day-to-day operations and maintenance of multiple residences
• Perform hands-on cleaning duties and light repairs as needed
• Maintain household inventory and supplies

Guest Relations

• Greet and accommodate guests with warmth and professionalism
• Provide tailored guest services and ensure a welcoming environment

Pet Care

• Daily care for family dogs, including feeding, walking, grooming appointments, and vet visits
• Responsible for pet care when family is away

Wardrobe & Laundry Care

• Assist with laundry, ironing, steaming, packing, and wardrobe organization
• Manage dry cleaning and wardrobe maintenance

Floral Arrangements

• Prepare fresh floral arrangements for the home and dining events

Kitchen Support

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen areas and equipment
• Assist with light food prep or kitchen set-up as needed

Errands & Shopping

• Execute personal shopping, errands, and household procurement

Cleaning and Maintenance

• Perform regular and deep cleaning tasks, minor repairs.

Security & Emergency Response

• Monitor home security systems
• Respond to any property-related emergencies

Transportation & Travel Support

• Coordinate with Family Assistant, Yacht Captains, and Pilots for travel logistics
• Assist with transportation needs and scheduling drivers when required

 

Candidate Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience working in a high-end private home or luxury hospitality setting
• Strong understanding of formal service etiquette and protocols
• Highly organized with excellent attention to detail
• Discreet and professional with exceptional communication skills
• Confident working independently and collaboratively within a household team
• Tech-savvy and comfortable using household systems and devices
• Physically capable of performing hands-on tasks, lifting, cleaning, and standing for extended periods
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
