Housekeeper / Afternoon Family Assistant – Pinecrest, FL

A busy family in Pinecrest is seeking a full-time Housekeeper / Afternoon Childcare Assistant to support a family of five — a couple and their three children, ages 3, 6, and 8. The schedule is Monday to Friday, 12 PM to 8 PM. There will be lots of downtime as the family takes many mini-vacations during major holidays. This position is full-time, year-round, whether the family is in residence or not.

The duties include general housekeeping, preparing simple family dinners, and picking up the children from school. The children get out of school around 3 PM and will need to be picked up and occasionally dropped off at activities. The school is within the neighborhood and less than 10 minutes from the house.

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday: 12:00 PM – 8:00 PM
• Full-time, year-round position, whether the family is in residence or traveling

Key Responsibilities:

• General cleaning of all areas of the home, including bathrooms, floors, and kitchen
• Household laundry: washing, folding, pressing, and steaming as needed
• Care of household linens
• Preparing light, family-style meals and following simple recipes
• Light home organization and daily tidying
• School pick-up at 3:00 PM (school is within 10 minutes of the home)
• Driving children to various scheduled activities
• Assisting with after-school routines: ensuring the children are settled, bathed, have eaten dinner, and are ready for bed
• Cleaning up after dinner and maintaining a neat environment

Requirements:

• 3 to 5 years of private housekeeping experience
• Strong references from previous private employers
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Ability to work in a home with children and provide occasional supervision
• Responsible, organized, and trustworthy
• Able to travel to France for part of the summer to assist the family in settling in is a plus (not required, but preferred).

Compensation: Starting at $62,400 other benefits to be determined
