A distinguished private residence in Miami Beach is seeking a highly experienced and professional Head Housekeeper to oversee and elevate the standards of cleanliness, organization, and presentation throughout the home. The residence is home to a couple and operates with the standards of a formal, high-level private household.

This is a hands-on leadership role, responsible for supervising, training, and supporting a team of two full-time housekeepers and a laundress. In addition to supervisory responsibilities, the Head Housekeeper will actively participate in daily housekeeping tasks to ensure the highest level of service and attention to detail.

The Head Housekeeper will report directly to the House Manager and work in close coordination to ensure the smooth, efficient, and discreet operation of the household.

Work Schedule: Must be flexible to work a rotating Monday–Friday schedule or a 5-day schedule that includes weekends.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and supervise the daily tasks of the housekeeping team, ensuring standards of excellence are consistently met.
• Implement, maintain, and improve protocols based on the household manual.
• Train housekeeping staff in formal service standards and proper care of fine finishes, fabrics, and furnishings.
• Perform and delegate all general and deep cleaning duties throughout the residence.
• Oversee laundry operations, including hand-washing delicate garments, ironing men’s dress shirts and linens, and proper closet organization.
• Ensure high standards in the kitchen including dishwashing support and end-of-day cleaning in coordination with the chef.
• Provide support for packing/unpacking for travel, wardrobe maintenance, and minor clothing repairs.
• Light care of two house cats, including feeding, cleaning litter boxes, and tidying pet areas.
• Provide discreet and non-intrusive service while proactively anticipating the family's needs.
• Oversee turn-down service, organization, and daily restocking of household items.
• Assist with formal table service, events, and holiday or guest preparations.
• Report any maintenance issues or necessary household supply replenishments.

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Head Housekeeper or in a senior housekeeping role within a formal private residence.
• Leadership skills with the ability to train, support, and supervise staff.
• Strong understanding of luxury home standards, cleaning protocols, and high-end materials.
• Expertise in formal laundry, pressing, and closet organization.
• Knowledge of formal table service, including napkin folding and place settings.
• Must be proactive, discreet, and have exceptional attention to detail.
• Able to work independently or with a team in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment.
• Must be able to travel to North Florida Keys on select weekends.
