Job Description: Litigation Attorney (Condemnation and Eminent Domain)

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced litigation attorney to assist with an active caseload representing condemning authorities and landowners. The ideal candidate will have an understanding of eminent domain and condemnation as well as a proven track record of success in private practice.

Responsibilities:

• Handle all aspects of condemnation or eminent domain cases, from pre-litigation negotiations to trial

• Develop and implement litigation strategies

• Represent clients in court and at hearings

• Conduct legal research and write legal memoranda

• Work with experts to prepare and present evidence

• Negotiate settlements with opposing parties

• Keep clients informed of the status of their cases

Qualifications:

• JD degree from an accredited law school

• 5+ years of experience in litigation with some expereince in eminent domain or condemnation

• Strong litigation skills

• Excellent written and oral communication skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple projects simultaneously
