South Florida Recruiters has been hired by a dynamic organization who has a remarkably diverse portfolio of businesses within the media, entertainment, sports, and advertising industries to identify a Director of Finance. The Director of Finance will be based in Miami and go to the office on a hybrid schedule and support the CEO (an entrepreneur) and his various business ventures, providing financial leadership and strategic insights.

Responsibilities:

Financial Planning, Analysis and Reporting:

• Develop and implement comprehensive financial plans, budgets, and forecasts for various business ventures
• Analyze financial data, performance metrics, and market trends to provide strategic insights
• Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, reports, and presentations
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and legal requirements

Cash Flow Management:

• Monitor and optimize cash flow to support operational requirements
• Implement effective cash management strategies to mitigate financial risks

Financial Strategy and Risk Management:

• Collaborate with the executive team to develop and implement financial strategies
• Identify and mitigate financial risks through strategic planning and risk management

Tax Planning and Compliance:

• Collaborate with tax advisors to develop tax-efficient strategies
• Oversee the preparation and filing of tax returns

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA is highly desirable)
• 10-15 years of financial management experience reporting directly to C-Level Executives within a family office, financial services firm, media, entertainment, sports, or advertising company
• A hands-on approach with the ability to take on multiple tasks within a fast-paced growing business; able to pivot in different directions as the C-Level Executives demand
• Fluent in English and Spanish (written and verbally)
• Ability to travel 10% domestically and to Latin America
