Senior Inventory Accountant

A large online retailer is looking to hire a Senior Accountant for their team in Pembroke Pines, FL. This role will focus on inventory accounting and analysis with additional general ledger responsibilities.
This is a hybrid office role: 1 day in the office and 4 days at home

Responsibilities:
- Perform monthly, quarterly, and year-end close functions
- Ensure inventory transactions are reported accurately in the ERP
- Assist with preparing journal entries including inventory adjustments, reserves, and cost of goods sold
- Review financial statements and perform variance analysis
- Perform account and bank reconciliations
- Review inventory purchase orders
- Assist with some audit functions
- Perform ad hoc requests and assist with the implementation of a new inventory system
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- Active CPA license or public accounting experience is a plus
- 3-5 years of accounting experience
- Strong knowledge of GAAP
