Senior Inventory Accountant

A large online retailer is looking to hire a Senior Accountant for their team in Pembroke Pines, FL. This role will focus on inventory accounting and analysis with additional general ledger responsibilities.

This is a hybrid office role: 1 day in the office and 4 days at home

Responsibilities:

  • Perform monthly, quarterly, and year-end close functions
  • Ensure inventory transactions are reported accurately in the ERP
  • Assist with preparing journal entries including inventory adjustments, reserves, and cost of goods sold
  • Review financial statements and perform variance analysis
  • Perform account and bank reconciliations
  • Review inventory purchase orders
  • Assist with some audit functions
  • Perform ad hoc requests and assist with the implementation of a new inventory system

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Active CPA license or public accounting experience is a plus
  • 3-5 years of accounting experience
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP
