Real estate investment company, that has been in business for over 20 years, is looking to hire a Property Accountant for their office in North Miami. This is a “hands-on” role with high visibility to the CFO and CEO of the company.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the full-cycle accounting process for a portfolio of properties
• Prepare the monthly close and financial statements for each property
• Manage all aspects of the general ledger ensuring the Company’s books and records are appropriately reconciled in a timely manner
• Process AP/AR including reviewing accounts payable batches for proper coding and approvals, propriety of payments and supporting documents
• Review and analyze lease contracts to determine rent payment schedules, assessments, and other accounting terms
• Preparation of annual financial budgets and cash flow statements
• Responsible for CAM reconciliations, ad-hoc reports, and projects
• Set up tenant ledgers and vendors
• Communicate with Property Managers to resolve accounting issues and discrepancies

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting
• 3+ years of commercial real estate accounting experience
• Experience with Yardi or other property management software, QuickBooks, and Excel
