A private equity firm based in Boca Raton, FL is looking to hire a Group Director of Finance & Accounting. The Group Director of Finance & Accounting will be responsible for leading the financial, accounting, and internal operations for the shared services group. This role will involve collaborating closely with controllers and accounting teams across all operating companies, the Group CFO, and the Director of Business Intelligence to optimize financial management, reporting, and decision-making within the organization.
Responsibilities
Finance Strategy:
- Partner with operational and financial leaders across the platform to streamline financial processes and enhance overall performance.
- Identify financial inefficiencies and develop solutions to drive improvement.
- Lead the adoption and implementation of financial systems, processes, and tools that improve financial reporting, decision-making, and accountability.
Financial Planning & Analysis:
- Lead the planning, forecasting, and budgeting processes for platform-wide and operating company investments.
- Build and maintain robust financial models to support investment decisions and long-term strategic planning.
- Provide comprehensive financial analysis, identifying key trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement across the portfolio.
- Support the Group CFO in developing strategies to improve operational efficiency and long-term growth.
Accounting & Financial Reporting:
- Develop and standardize accounting policies, procedures, and reconciliations to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
- Provide direct oversight to shared services, including payroll, vendor management, and financial allocations.
- Oversee the preparation and accuracy of both internal and external financial statements, ensuring compliance with GAAP.
- Spearhead the creation of management reports, financial data books, and lead schedules.
Acquisitions & Integrations:
- Lead the integration of newly acquired companies, ensuring seamless internal processes are implemented.
- Ensure accurate accounting treatment for investments and acquisitions.
- Partner with teams on cost optimization initiatives in areas like vendors, benefits, risk management, and technology.
Requirements
- CPA License; Bachelor’s in Accounting or Finance
- 10+ years of large corporate accounting experience including time spent at the Controller or Director level
- National/Large CPA Firm audit experience
- Shared Services Center experience is highly preferred
- Ability to travel up to 25%
- Large ERP experience
