Hotel General Manager

4-star diamond, boutique hotel based in Miami Beach is looking to hire a General Manager. As the General Manager, you will work with the owners as a partner and manage day-to-day operations of this luxury hotel. The General Manager is responsible for achieving planned goals for revenue and profit, while maintaining standards for guest satisfaction, employee satisfaction, quality assurance, and asset protection. The General Manager will provide leadership, training, direction and support to hotel employees.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the operations functions of the hotel
  • Hold regular meetings with all head of departments
  • Responsible for the preparation, presentation and subsequent achievement of the hotel's annual operating budget, marketing & sales plan and capital budget
  • Manage on-going profitability of the hotel, ensuring revenue and guest satisfaction targets are met and exceeded
  • Develop improvement actions
  • Closely monitor the hotel’s business reports daily and take decisions accordingly
  • Ensure that monthly financial outlooks for rooms, food & beverage, admin & general are on target and accurate
  • Act as a final decision maker in hiring key staff professionals
  • Oversee and manage all departments and work closely with department heads
  • Provide effective leadership to hotel team members
  • Responsible for legalization, occupational health & safety act, fire regulations and other legal requirements

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Hotel Management/Hospitality or related field
  • 3+ years of General Manager Hotel experience
  • Advanced software experience (Oracle, Excel, etc.)
