A very stable real estate/construction company that has been in business for over 40 years has a new opening for a Controller to be based in Ft. Lauderdale. This individual will be groomed to become the Company’s next CFO.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the timely reporting of all monthly financial information
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of the general ledger structure
  • Support budget and forecasting activities
  • Oversee accounts receivable, accounts payable and payroll functions
  • Manage, review and coordinate tax reporting and filings
  • Respond to inquiries from the Executives regarding financial results and special reporting requests
  • Assist in development and implementation of new accounting software and procedures to enhance the workflow of the department
  • Supervise a small team of accountants

Requirements:

  • CPA license
  • National CPA Firm Audit experience
  • Real estate/construction industry experience  
  • Critical thinker and analytical
  • Advanced in Excel
