An investment management firm located in downtown Miami is looking to hire a Financial Controller. The individual will report to the Executive Committee and handle high-level corporate accounting functions.

Requirements:

• Active CPA license
• 10+ years of accounting experience including the last 3 years at the Controller/Senior Accounting Manager level
• Big 4 CPA Firm experience
• Investment firm, private equity, real estate and/or hospitality industry experience

Responsibilities:

• Review monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial statements
• Ensure proper valuation and supporting documentation of portfolio investments
• Perform a variety of analytical projects including investment analysis and product profitability
• Build and maintain financial models to support corporate decision making
• Assist with risk management, compliance, investor relations and other areas as needed
• Analyze budget and forecasting activities and account for all variances
• Identify key trends that could impact profitability or growth strategy
• Perform ad-hoc projects requested from management
