Controller

South Florida Recruiters - Bal Harbour, FL

Investment firm located in Bal Harbour, FL is looking to hire a Controller. This individual will report to the executive management team and supervise a small staff.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the daily accounting activities
  • Review monthly, quarterly and yearly financial statements
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of the general ledger structure
  • Reconcile activity and balances to 3rd party information
  • Make proper accounting adjustments when needed
  • Support budget and forecasting activities and account for all variances
  • Respond to inquiries from management regarding financial results and special reporting requests
  • Assist in development and implementation of new procedures and features to enhance the workflow of the department
  • Help with financial statement audit and tax preparation

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
  • 5+ years of accounting experience working for a financial service, investment or wealth management firm
  • Fluent in Spanish
  • Advanced in QuickBooks and Excel
