Assistant Controller

A dynamic company located in Miami is looking to hire an Assistant Controller. This is a newly created position that reports directly to the Corporate Controller.

Responsibilities:

  • Review the month, quarter and year-end close activities including general ledger analysis and reconciliations
  • Compile, prepare and analyze financial statements and accounting reports
  • Resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities
  • Assist in the budgeting, forecasting and annual planning process
  • Assist with annual audit procedures including documenting and monitoring of internal controls
  • Perform special accounting projects under the guidance of Management
  • Supervise, lead and mentor accounting staff

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; CPA license is highly preferred
  • 5+ years of accounting experience; CPA firm Audit background is highly preferred
  • Advanced MS Excel skills
