Large retail chain, headquartered in Ft. Lauderdale, FL is looking to hire a Controller to work with the CFO to oversee, supervise and mentor the accounting department.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the accounting functions including monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial reporting
  • Review financial results and approve journal entries done by accounting staff
  • Perform multiple balance sheet reconciliations
  • Implement, document and maintain internal controls and processes
  • Communicate financial results to the Executive Team, Regional Managers and Store Managers
  • Lead the implementation of a new ERP system
  • Manage the year-end audit process 

Requirements

  • CPA; Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
  • 10+ years of overall accounting experience; public/private mix is preferred
  • Retail chain industry experience
  • Large ERP software experience
