Sparrow Company, an executive search and staffing firm, has an immediate direct-hire opening for a Maintenance Tech position.
BASIC FUNCTIONS:
• Perform mechanical repairs to all shop equipment and tools as necessary.
• Use multi-meter to troubleshoot electrical problems (low voltage control circuits, 110 thru 480 single and three phase electrical circuits).
• Read and understand electrical schematics and symbols and modify schematic drawings as needed.
• Complete maintenance work orders and preventative maintenance forms.
• Conduct equipment and safety inspections.
• Part fabrication (welding, cutting etc.).
• Be able to do various jobs around the plant, be it facility maintenance, plumbing etc. Strong ability to fabricate parts from scratch.
• Have knowledge to efficiently diagnose and repair mechanical and pneumatic energy systems.
• Fluent in various schematic readings, equipment drawings and part manual reading with mechanical perception.
• Work directly with production personnel to isolate and repair equipment problems MINIMUM
REQUIREMENTS:
• Two Year Electrical Degree or two years Industrial Maintenance experience
• Dependable/Flexible to rotating shifts
PREFERENCES:
• High school Diploma or GED, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering Degree
• PLC experience • Experience with AC & DC Motors, Drives, and Electrical Controls
• Process control design and troubleshooting.
• Auto Cad experience
• Experience working with vendors and contractors
• Must be able to read and write basic English
• Willing to work rotating shifts
