Maintenance Manager

Leads and coordinates activities in setting up, installing, repairing, and maintaining machinery and equipment, and in fabricating metal parts and tools. The fundamental task is to maintain and improve the plant mechanical, electrical, and facilities infrastructure and provide direct supervision of technical maintenance associates.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • · Coordinates with other management staff to ensure efficiency in preventative maintenance and new equipment installation.
  • · Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets.
    • Directs workers engaged in dismantling, assembling, and installing industrial machinery.
    • Requisitions and keeps supply of spare parts.
    • Modifies programming of robots and related equipment such as robot controllers and programmable controllers.
    • Studies production schedules and estimates worker hour requirements for completion of job assignment.
    • Interprets company policies to workers and enforces safety regulations.
    • Interprets specifications, blueprints, and job orders to workers, and assigns duties.
    • Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules.
    • Recommends measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.
    • Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of shop, department, or work crew.
    • Sources and oversees contracts and service providers for functions such as, cleaning, parking, security, and technology.
    • Ensures that basic facilities are well-maintained, conducts proactive maintenance, and meet compliance standards and government regulations.
    • Oversees renovations, refurbishments, and building projects.
    • Analyzes and resolves work problems or assists workers in solving work problems.
    • Initiates or suggests plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals.
    • Maintains time and production records.
    • Confers with other supervisors to coordinate activities of individual departments.

    Who we’re looking for:

    • BA or BS degree in a technical discipline; and 8 to 12 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • Ability to work both independently and within a team, generating results with general/minimal guidance from management.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills along with professional presentation and negotiation skills
    • Demonstrated ability to effectively apply MS Excel and other analysis tools to real-world problem-solving
    • Must be flexible, innovative and comfortable in setting own priorities
    • Strong organization and planning skills
