Electrical Maintenance Supervisor

Position Summary:

This position prime objective is to reduce maintenance costs and improve equipment reliability through the implementation of a predictive electrical maintenance program and by planning, coordinating, scheduling and supervising corrective maintenance projects assigned by the Senior Maintenance Supervisor and/or Maintenance Manager.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Directs the electrical maintenance activities done in the plant and quarry, which includes the repair and adjustment of existing electrical equipment and the installation of new equipment
  • Provides daily assignments for electricians and inspects work in progress. Completes daily time reporting
  • Accomplishes periodic inspections of field instrumentation, wiring, calibration, equipment condition, and proper installation to insure optimum operating performance
  • Directs electrical maintenance on field instrumentation and replacement of defective parts
  • Directs calibration of instrumentation and control devices; tests systems for proper operation after repair, works from schematic drawings, wiring diagrams, and manufacturer’s instructions
  • Prepares a maintenance schedule for all systems hardware per manufacturer’s instruction.
  • Directs continued preventive/predictive maintenance inspections and procedures on electrical and electronic equipment
  • Incumbent will attend coordination meetings. It is the responsibility of the incumbent to review and assist all corrective/PM work orders
  • Ensure the application of the Company’s plant rules of conduct, health, and safety, to the people he/she is overseeing and apply recommended disciplinary action for violation of the same
  • Prepares electrical maintenance and construction contracts.
  • Plans, designs, coordinate and schedules specific corrective maintenance projects
  • Maintains records of costs on all project work
  • Trains and supports plant personnel in the electrical preventive/ predictive maintenance program
  • Participates in the plant on call program
  • Conducts/attends weekly safety meetings and inspects the department for unsafe working conditions and signs of equipment breakdowns in order to reduce on-the-job and eliminate lost time injuries
  • Continue self-improvement activities, especially in the area of new developments in the electrical and electronics industry

Additional responsibilities include: Problem solving and root cause analysis, component design, and preparation of contract documents and scopes of work, coordinating, scheduling work required, supervision of contractors, ordering materials.

Job Specifications:


  • Minimum two year technical degree or equivalent


  • 5+ years in the electrical field

Proficiencies and knowledge:

  • Preferable cement process knowledge.
  • Proficiencies in PdM and Preventive electrical maintenance.
  • Candidate should have a strong electrical maintenance background with an emphasis on improving reliability.
  • Good decision-making, organizational, and computer skills with the ability to communicate in an effective manner with upper management.
  • Team player who will achieve the goals of the organization through both internal and external personnel.
