ROLE DESCRIPTION:

Professional responsible for managing and analyzing financial information related to the costs of producing goods or services within an organization. Their primary focus is on cost control, cost analysis, and providing relevant information to support decision-making processes. The role is crucial in helping businesses optimize their operations, improve efficiency, and make informed financial decisions.

A Cost Accountant plays a critical role in helping organizations make informed decisions to improve profitability, streamline operations, and maintain financial health. The information they provide is vital for strategic planning and resource allocation within the company.

KEY RESPONSABILITIES:

  • A bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, is required.
  • Master's degree can be a plus.

EXPERIENCE:

  • Prior experience in a cost accounting role, demonstrating proficiency in managing and analyzing costs within an organization.
  • Familiarity with the standard cost of operating in a maquiladora environment.
  • Demonstrated experience in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.

SKILLS:

  • Strong analytical skills to interpret complex financial data and make informed decisions.
  • Clear communication skills to effectively convey cost-related information to both financial and non-financial members of the team.
  • High attention to detail to ensure accuracy in cost calculations and financial reporting.
  • Ability to identify issues, analyze root causes and propose effective solutions.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other departments, such as operations, supply chain and others.

LANGUAGE:

Bilingual Spanish / English *B2 at least

SOFTWARE:

Office *advanced excel*, NetSuite
