Sparrow Company, an executive search and staffing firm, has an immediate opening for a Director of Risk Management for one of our clients in El Paso, TX.  This is a direct hire opportunity.  

Job Summary:

The Director of Risk Management is responsible for managing the planning, execution, and oversight of all aspects of Risk Management for the company and family of companies. The position will work closely with the CFO, Company Leadership personnel, risk consultant(s) and operations teams to assess risk and improve internal controls. The Risk Manager will implement and manage controls, procedures to create and sustain a long-term strategy to manage the company’s overall risk portfolio. The position will manage strategic initiatives and lead the development and implementation of a risk-based audit plan.

Education and Experience Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field.
• 6+ years’ experience in Risk Management, specific industry experience related to our portfolio of business is strongly preferred: real estate development, office property services, food & beverage, construction, and aviation.
• Texas agency license preferred. Strong background in property coverages and complex placement of various P & C coverage lines.
• Familiarity with coverages, risk strategies, alternative risk financing and overall operational excellence.
