The Web Analytics Data Engineer/Software Engineer will directly report to the Manager, Software Engineering and will be responsible for developing and implementing digital analytics tagging solutions that supports various Cox Automotive channels with a primary focus on Manheim.com. This Data Engineer creates and maintains software and data structures that meet the functional and non-functional project requirements in the implementation, enhancement, and support of several Product and Marketing initiatives.
Testing and supporting all Manheim web analytics functions.
Creating and maintaining software, data pipelines and structures that support the collection and syndication of data.
Implementing Marketing’s 3rd party tags and UX initiatives including Optimizely, UserIQ and Qualtrics.
Writing application code on-time, within scope, and in compliance with company standards & practices and industry & platform-specific best practices.
Design, document, and implement customized data collection specifications for digital content.
Develop plans and estimates for the implementation of technical solutions within an Agile environment.
Implement tagging strategy to track digital Marketing efforts to determine brand and campaign effectiveness.
Ensure tag audits are conducted and results published on regular basis, track and manage all tag requests (internal and external) end-to-end.
Understand the owned products within the Adobe Experience Platform specifically Adobe Analytics and Adobe Launch Tag Management System.
Coordinate Adobe Analytics data feeds and web tag updates. Handle data preparation and data QA analyses.Create and maintain analytics software, data pipelines and structures that support the collection and syndication of data.
Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or Business; related work experience may be substituted for advanced degree.
Minimum 3+ years of relevant work experience within the field of digital analytics working with standard click stream analysis tools: Adobe Analytics/Site Catalyst/Omniture, Google Analytics, WebTrends, Coremetrics, etc.
Experience developing within Adobe’s Launch Tag Management System (TMS) or similar TMS.
Proficiency with the Adobe Experience Platform specifically Adobe Analytics APIs, Mobile SDK development and configuration capability.
Strong experience with using a browser’s Web Console and/or debugger to troubleshoot network calls (QA Tagging).
Strong technical experience regarding data models, databases, data mining and querying techniques.
Must be a detail-oriented, creative thinker with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Requires independent completion of work with sound judgment and discretion.
Ability to work concurrently on multiple projects and deliverables with varying size and complexity in an Agile environment.
Problems and issues may be numerous and are vaguely defined and may need a high degree of reasoning and analysis of multiple variable factors to address problems and issues.
Experience with digital media and web analytics optimization strategies
Requires physical ability and mental acuity to execute the duties of the position successfully within required timeframes to meet business requirements.Other duties as needed or required.
Due to current COVID-19 restrictions, this is a temporary work from home role but will ultimately work in the Atlanta, Georgia office.
