The Opportunity
We’re looking for an experienced Survey Party Chief who can take ownership of field operations—particularly construction stakeout—during the busy summer season and beyond. You’ll play a critical role in delivering high-quality boundary, topo, and layout surveys for some of the most impressive residential sites in the region.

What You’ll Be Doing
- Lead field surveys for large-scale residential construction stakeout projects (homes in the $5M–$15M range; sites often 100k+ sq ft)
- Perform boundary and topographic surveys with accuracy and attention to detail
- Collaborate with licensed surveyors and drafters to ensure seamless office-to-field workflows
- Utilize Leica Captivate field software and Civil 3D for data collection and integration
- Help guide junior field staff and contribute to a high-performing field operation
- Coordinate with office staff and drone team for evolving deliverables, including aerial mapping and LiDAR post-processing
What We’re Looking For
- 5+ years of field survey experience, including at least 2+ years as a Party Chief
- Strong construction stakeout experience required (residential or commercial)
- Proficiency with Leica Total Stations, GPS, and Captivate software
- Working knowledge of Civil 3D preferred (or willingness to learn office workflows)
- Comfortable leading field efforts on high-value residential projects
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans, perform calculations, and troubleshoot in the field
- Team-first mindset, clear communication, and the ability to mentor less-experienced field staff
Bonus Skills
- Experience with drone operations, aerial photogrammetry, or LiDAR workflows
- Exposure to DJI Terra or Leica’s drone mapping tools
- Interest in future transition to hybrid field/office role
