Position Overview

We are seeking a Civil Engineer with 2–5 years of experience to join our Wayne, NJ office. This role is ideal for a technically strong engineer with solid CAD skills who is interested in working on public-sector infrastructure projects and growing within a stable, reputable organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare engineering drawings and construction documents using AutoCAD and/or AutoCAD Civil 3D
  • Assist in the design of public-sector infrastructure projects, including roadways, drainage, utilities, and site improvements
  • Support senior engineers with design calculations, plan development, and technical analysis
  • Incorporate QA/QC, client, and agency comments into plan revisions
  • Coordinate with in-house teams including survey, environmental, planning, and structural disciplines
  • Ensure compliance with applicable local, state, and federal standards

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
  • 2–5 years of relevant civil engineering experience
  • Strong proficiency in AutoCAD; Civil 3D experience strongly preferred
  • Experience with municipal or public works projects is a plus
  • Familiarity with New Jersey standards preferred
  • Strong communication skills and attention to detail

Preferred

  • EIT certification or progress toward PE licensure
  • Experience working in a multidisciplinary engineering environment
