About the Role

We’re growing our Survey Department and are looking for an experienced Survey Party Chief to join our team. This is a great opportunity for a motivated field leader who takes pride in delivering precise, high-quality survey data and managing projects efficiently. The ideal candidate is comfortable running a one- or two-person crew and enjoys a mix of field problem-solving, client interaction, and technical precision.

What You’ll Do

• Lead daily field survey operations, including boundary, topographic, construction, and ALTA surveys
• Operate and maintain survey instruments (GPS, total stations, data collectors) to ensure accurate field measurements
• Manage and mentor crew members, ensuring safe and efficient field practices
• Communicate clearly with project managers, office staff, and clients to keep projects on schedule
• Download/upload field data and maintain detailed field notes and records
• Verify the accuracy of survey data and resolve discrepancies in the field when needed

What We’re Looking For

• 4+ years of land surveying experience, with at least 2 years as a Party Chief
• Strong proficiency with robotic total stations and GPS equipment (Trimble or Leica preferred)
• Solid understanding of survey procedures, construction layout, and boundary determination
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications
• Proven leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
