During her nine-year tenure with CSU Stanislaus, Dr. Michele Lahti, Vice President for University Advancement, has made significant strides in building strong community and business partnerships, which has led to substantial increases in private, corporate, and foundation giving. Combining extensive professional experience with a scholarly interest in university-based development, community relations, and communications, Dr. Lahti is a uniquely qualified and perceptive higher education leader. Dr. Lahti is now expanding her development team, with a vision of increasing philanthropic support to benefit the students, academic endeavors, and public-private partnerships of Stanislaus State.Recruiting two enthusiastic and mission-focused Directors of Development is one of her top priorities.
Reporting to the Associate Vice President for Development, these Directors of Development will identify, engage, solicit, and steward alumni, friends, corporations and foundations which have the capacity to contribute to California State University, Stanislaus. The Directors will actively participate in the management process of moving gifts to closure. The Directors will provide leadership and coordination to the campus in approaching major gift donors, and they will work closely with university leaders and other members of the University Advancement team. The Directors of Development will be responsible for developing initiatives aimed at growing the prospect pipeline.
