IT Engineer = Enterprise Cloud-based Infrastructure Support - New York, NY

The Role

This is an opportunity to join the nation’s newest stock exchange at a critical time in its development and serve as our first IT Engineer.

You will develop and manage our IT system; recommend, document, and implement solutions to improve our IT environment; take ownership of IT problems, triage, and find solutions to improve processes; and introduce relevant new technology. You will have the opportunity to establish the foundation of our IT practices, make our processes more efficient, and ensure our compliance in a highly regulated environment.

Our client's team is small, and you will work closely with your colleagues on teams throughout the business. Every member of our team is a full participant, and actively engaged in the design and evolution of our new stock exchange. They are a fast-moving startup, and now a regulated national securities exchange, but we also prioritize taking advantage of the efficiencies of a small team to have a disproportionate impact.

Ideal Candidate Has:

    • 3+ years of hands-on experience with cloud-based infrastructure at the enterprise level.
    • Salary $109-$177K
    • Prior experience with managing enterprise systems in financial services.
    • Familiar with security concepts such as identity and access management (IAM), application and data security, endpoint security (i.e. MDM).
    • Comfort with systems in a highly-regulated environment with an ability to demonstrate systems compliance to auditors
    • Passion for building simple, robust, redundant solutions.
    • A commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, and a desire to work with a diverse range of people.
    • Experience working for the inclusion & success of underrepresented IT support engineers.
    • Excellent organizational, communication, presentation, and analytical skills.
