Pay rate: $45 per hour

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Network & Server Engineer to lead the decommissioning of our on-premises server and to specify a new solution. The successful candidate will be responsible for migrating the old virtual machine (VM) to the new VM while ensuring minimal downtime and maximum efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Assess the current on-premises server infrastructure and develop a comprehensive plan for its decommissioning.
2. Specify and implement a new server solution that meets the organization's requirements for performance, security, and scalability.
3. Lead the migration of existing VMs to the new virtualized environment with minimal disruption to ongoing operations.
4. Work closely with internal teams and external vendors to ensure seamless integration of network and server solutions.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in network infrastructure planning, design, implementation, and maintenance
• Expertise in Vmware virtualization technologies
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft server environments including Windows Server OS
• In-depth knowledge of Exchange Server administration
• Experience with virtualization solutions such as Hyper-V or other hypervisor platforms is desirable
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to identifying potential challenges
