Job Title: Java Developers (Level III)

Work Schedule: 8-hour day, 50/50 hybrid Rate: $70 per hour

Description

We are looking for highly skilled Java Developers (Level III) to join our team for a long-term project based in Albany, NY. The ideal candidates will bring deep technical expertise in Java, Spring frameworks, microservices, and cloud technologies, along with experience leading development teams on complex enterprise-level projects. This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining secure, scalable, and high-performing applications in a government environment.

Mandatory Qualifications

1. Level III: More than 7 years of experience working on complex projects, including at least 2 years in a leadership role as a Developer.
2. More than 7 years of professional experience as a Java developer, including expertise in Java/J2EE, object-oriented programming (OOP) principles, design patterns, and SOLID principles.
3. More than 7 years of hands-on experience with Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Security, and ORM frameworks such as Hibernate or JPA.

Desirable Qualifications

1. More than 7 years of experience designing, building, and maintaining microservices architectures and RESTful APIs.
• Extensive experience with relational databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL, SQL).
• Experience with NoSQL databases.
2. More than 7 years of experience with testing frameworks (JUnit, Mockito) and build tools (Maven, Gradle).
3. More than 7 years of experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
4. More than 7 years of experience with DevOps principles and CI/CD tools (Jenkins).
5. At least 2 years of experience in a federal or state government environment, preferably within Health and Human Services or Integrated Eligibility System programs (PA, TA, SNAP, HEAP, Fair Hearings, Child Support, etc.).
6. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
