Job Title: Architect
Location: Albany, NY (Hybrid – 50/50)
Work Schedule: 8 hours/day
Bill Rate: $70 to $80 per hour

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Data Architect (Level III) to lead complex data architecture initiatives in a large-scale environment. The ideal candidate will have extensive expertise in legacy data conversion, Master Data Management (MDM), and data governance, with the ability to design and implement scalable solutions in support of enterprise-level digital transformation projects.

This role requires both technical depth and leadership skills, working across business and technical teams to ensure high-quality data architecture solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead data architecture design, strategy, and implementation for enterprise-scale projects.
  • Drive data conversion and migration efforts from legacy systems.
  • Develop and enforce data governance, metadata, and MDM best practices.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to align data architecture with business goals.
  • Optimize data pipelines, integrations, and workflows for performance and scalability.
  • Ensure compliance with data security, regulatory, and governance requirements.
  • Mentor and provide technical leadership to project teams

Mandatory Qualifications

  1. Level III Architect – More than 7 years of experience on complex projects, with at least 2 years in a leadership role as an Architect.
  2. Data Architect Experience – More than 7 years of experience in large-scale environments, building end-to-end flows in legacy data conversion projects.
  3. MDM Expertise – More than 7 years designing and implementing MDM solutions (data cleansing, matching, hierarchy management) with strong knowledge of platforms such as Informatica, IBM InfoSphere, or Reltio.

Desirable Qualifications

  1. 10+ years of experience in data modeling, metadata management, and data governance (data models, data flow diagrams, process flow diagrams) for large-scale digital transformation projects.
  2. 10+ years with data warehouse solutions, analytics, reporting, and visualization tools.
  3. 10+ years of expertise in shared data architectures, optimizing data pipelines, and establishing governance in large-scale transformations.
  4. 10+ years of experience in data integration technologies (ETL, APIs, ESB, message queues).
  5. 10+ years of experience with SQL, scripting languages, and database technologies.
  6. 10+ years of experience with cloud data solutions on GCP (Databricks, Snowflake, BigQuery, AI/ML).
  7. 7+ years of experience conducting fit-gap analyses, solution design, and process improvements.
  8. 3–5 years of experience in a federal or state government setting.
