Support Developer Description
The Support Developer is responsible for keeping essential company IT systems running and responding to customer issue reports. They regularly check system logs and troubleshoot any discrepancies or errors found, as well as providing technical support to address and answer problem tickets. They must be able to manage a variety of tasks across different projects and communicate status well to customers and supervisors. They should have a basic knowledge of development tools, understand root cause analysis and risk assessment, work well in a team environment, and be eager to solve problems and learn new skills. Some evening and/or weekend work is required on a predetermined schedule.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
•Performs maintenance and enhancements of existing software systems.
•Responds to problem tickets and provides customer updates.
•Collaborates closely with other developers and staff on projects.
•Verifies that code and SQL written is correct according to specification through testing and the execution of test plans.
•Understands and adheres to legal/compliance standards included in corporate policies and accepts ownership for accomplishing existing tasks that fulfill legal/compliance requirements. Reports compliance violations when identified.
•Is a role model for our organization culture by displaying a positive attitude and creating a positive impact.
•Communicates in a fashion that is respectful and well understood.
•Builds and utilizes working relationships with internal business partners across the organization.

BASIC AND PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Basic- Associate degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school.
Preferred- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year organization/university.
1 to 3 years of work related experience.

•Ability to follow software development coding standards and release procedures
