A strong internal growth path, with opportunities to advance into Senior BDR (as early as 6 months) About the BDR Role As a Business Development Representative, you’ll take a consultative approach to engaging prospective clients and setting high-quality meetings for our Account Executives. These meetings will focus on introducing our portfolio of macroeconomic and political insight solutions, tailored for clients across financial services, corporate, government, professional services, and consulting sectors. What You’ll Be Doing: Engage with potential customers through phone, email, and LinkedIn outreach Educate and inform prospects about the company’s products and services Qualify leads and schedule meetings for Account Executives Meet and exceed performance targets for outreach and conversions Learn prospecting strategies, CRM tools, and sales best practices while earning an industry-recognized Sales Certification Required Skills: Ability to stay motivated, handle rejection, and maintain task focus Strong verbal and written communication skills Cold calling and outreach experience Coachable and open to feedback Preferred Qualifications: 1–2 years of sales or customer-facing experience Familiarity with Salesforce, Salesloft, and Outlook B2B SaaS sales experience Association and/or nonprofit industry experience Core Competencies for Success: Self-Motivation & Persistence: Able to handle “no,” stay organized, and work independently Strong Communication: Clear, professional communication over phone and email Coachability: Eager to learn, accept feedback, and improve Outbound Prospecting: Confident initiating cold calls, emails, and social outreach Tech Proficiency: Experience or ability to learn Salesforce, Salesloft, Outlook, and other sales tools Requirements: Full-time availability for the duration of the Residency A clear understanding of the BDR role and how your skills align with it Excellent verbal and written communication skills A passion for sales, business development, and hitting targets If you’re ready to own your success and embark on an exciting career in tech sales, apply today and let SV Academy help you get there!
