Investment Banking Analyst - Mergers & Acquisitions

This role is ideal for someone who has an entrepreneurial spirit, is very detailed oriented and has a proven track record working in a fast-paced environment.

A successful candidate will effectively interface with internal and external constituencies. Successful candidates for this dynamic role will have at least 5 years of relevant experience in Private Equity or Investment Banking.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the financial analysis and assessment on new deals
  • Source and build pipeline of potential acquisitions
  • Providing financial analysis, modeling and creating subsequent investment memorandums throughout the deal process
  • Assisting in new deal assessment - CIM review, investment thesis, financial modeling, and developing valuation analysis
  • Researching, gathering, and analyzing information about target acquisitions
  • Managing due diligence process, checklist and timeline
  • Performing due diligence on potential acquisitions
  • Aggregating and preparing of due diligence findings, results and summaries
  • Providing any other assistance to the M&A Director

Qualifications

  • 5 years hands-on experience managing a deal from business development through to close all elements in between.
  • Bachelors’ degree in Finance or relevant field
  • Hands on experience with financial modeling and analysis
  • Proven ability to prioritize priorities for multiple stake holders to get deals over the finish line.
  • Must have great business acumen, analytical & strategic thinker with excellent written & oral communications skills
  • Solid financial background. Understanding of accounting procedures and company financial statements
  • Ability to analyze and organize disparate pieces of information
  • Outstanding phone presence with the ability to create trust with prospective sellers
  • Hands on experience with financial modeling and analysis
  • Ability to analyze and organize disparate pieces of information
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, ever changing environment and learn quickly
  • Expectation of participating and embracing daily review meetings, metrics, clear documentation of calls/follow up
  • Proficient in Excel
  • Able to travel
