Director Loan Operations and Technology / Banking

The Director of Loan Operations and IT will be responsible for the overall day to day management of Loan Operations as well as overseeing and implementing new technology as well as planning, organizing, communication and the successful execution of processes for Loan Operations and IT activities in compliance with applicable laws, regulatory and investor guidelines.

This role has a focus on optimization and increasing efficiency to support the Company’s growth. As we review the design of Loan Operations and IT, the leader of this group will be responsible for communication with all business partners to ensure effective change management.

This position supports the servicing of Consumer, Small Commercial, Commercial, and Specialty Lending for the Bank.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES include the following; other duties may be assigned.

Provides guidance to Loan Operations and IT staff, fostering an environment that encourages employee participation, teamwork and communication.

 

Acts in a leadership capacity for contact with internal partners: Retail/Consumer, Small Commercial, Commercial, Compliance, Audit, IT, Human Resources, Product, and Risk as well as any other area requiring collaborative efforts with business partners on projects, priorities and strategies

Oversees, mentors and guides Loan Operations and IT as well as working with all vendors and third party providers and is fully involved with Senior Leadership in decision making and product implementation.

Reinforces culture of shared ownership and accountability for results.


Communicate and motivate cross-functional business partners as well as team leaders and front line team members.

 

Demonstrate situational awareness with a strong sense of urgency by responding immediately to escalated issues and rapidly changing priorities.

 

Provide process and servicing expertise, guidance and leadership across all things Loan Servicing and Operations related.

Ensures compliance with applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations.

Provides oversight and assistance in the management of 3rd party vendors and service providers for Loan and IT Operations.

 

Ensures Departmental resources are provided with the applicable tools to effectively perform assigned position responsibilities including:

  • Current functional procedures
  • Training
  • Policy
  • End to End workflow
  • Regulatory requirements
  • Productivity expectations
  • Service Level expectations
  • Customer Experience guidelines and expectations
  • Reporting, measures, metrics and results
  • Individual and team goals and objectives

 

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from a four-year College or University and seven (7) or more years’ experience in financial services operations is required; or equivalent combination of education and experience. A degrees in Business, Finance and/or Accounting are preferred. Previous work experience in commercial banking loan operations and Technology with managerial experience of increasing levels of responsibility is also preferred. The ideal candidate has previous experience in building Loan Operations and IT Centers.
