The Accelerator Laboratory is Quanterix’s lab services group and serves a broad set of customers, performing contract research services for pharmaceutical companies and biotechs as well as clinical testing under CLIA. The Sample Accessioning Coordinator will have oversight of the day-to-day operations and sample accessioning of the Accelerator laboratory. This role will have hands on involvement and be an integral part of the clinical sample, material, and equipment management of the Accelerator laboratory workflow. This position reports into the Senior Manager of Accelerator Laboratory Operations.

Key Responsibilities: 

• Oversees and directly contributes to supporting daily lab operations including sample accessioning, instrument maintenance and material inventory
• Leads the sample accessioning team to receive and process samples from both contract research customers as well as clinical testing. Processes samples, supervises staff and performs final quality checks
• Identifies and implements improvements to laboratory and LIMS processes, participate as member of LIMS core team
• Is the main point of contact for Accelerator laboratory staff and project management teams for matters relating to day-to-day lab operations, sample inventory and accessioning
• Develops and follows instructions defined in standard operating procedures and collaborates closely with the Quality Assurance Team.
• Participates in start/end of day and maintenance activities with instrumentation
• Maintains inventory levels of key materials associated with the laboratory through internal ordering and purchase order generation
• Responds to equipment alarms as needed
• Leads projects and resources to organize and maintain the laboratory
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in a scientific discipline with at least 3 years work experience in a position associated with science, technology, or other regulated industry
• Demonstrated ability to work within a Clinical Research Organization (CRO) or a CLIA or CAP-Certified laboratory
• Experience or knowledge of GCLP and other related quality systems
• Ability to work in a BSL2 laboratory environment, in the presence of chemicals and reagents
• Familiarity with Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS)
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to change priorities quickly
• Proficient with computers and data entry including the Microsoft Office Suite
• Effective clear verbal and written communication skills and ability to handle and communicate important scientific or technical information
• Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment
