The Supervisor, Desktop Asset Management reports into the Manager, Desktop Services and is responsible for supervising the desktop warehouse, daily workflow, and fulfillment of desktop assets service orders. The Supervisor leverages an asset management system to track inventory and audit for Point32Health desktop computers. The supervisor partners with stakeholders in IT, HR, and Facilities to ensure a smooth process for colleagues and teams receiving desktop equipment, serving as a point of escalation for the team.

Key Responsibilities/Duties – what you will be doing

  • Supervises, trains, and develops the Desktop Asset Team, providing direct coaching and feedback
  • Recommends staffing modifications and operational enhancements to improve service.
  • Supervises and facilitates development and strengthening of the Desktop Asset Team, to ensure that all processes and procedures are followed, improves processes and implements approved changes.
  • Coordinates workflows, monitors and oversees staff responsiveness in fulfilling requests and/or incidents assigned to the Desktop Asset Team within defined SLAs.
  • Develops and maintains service level agreements with end-users for desktop service requisitioning for all desktop hardware including but not limited to New Hire hardware, Additional hardware requests and Termination hardware harvesting
  • Oversees and is accountable for the desktop asset warehouse for inventory processes, inventory accuracy, inventory levels, and organization of the warehouse.
  • Coordinates and supervises quarterly physical inventory taking and reporting.
  • Other duties and projects as assigned.

Qualifications – what you need to perform the job

EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION AND LICENSURE:

  • Associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred, but not required

EXPERIENCE (minimum years required):

  • 3-4 years business experience in a technical customer support or inventory management  
  • A minimum of three years’ experience in a progressively responsible supervisory role entailing: personnel supervision; systems operations, workflow coordination; and high customer service standards.
  • Previous experience in budget forecasting and tracking a plus.

SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Experience with ServiceNow
  • Experience with and/or understanding of Configuration Management (CMDB)
  • Proficient at Microsoft Office
  • Ability to supervise and lead team
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills for interfacing with colleagues at all levels of the organization.
  • High level of attention to detail
  • High level of judgment to identify problem areas and implement effective solutions.
  • Ability and commitment to perform technical tasks (sometimes outside of core work hours).
