Avangrid is looking for a Programs/Projects - Generator Interconnections Manager to join their team in Binghamton, NY.
Manages and provides leadership over NYSEG/RGE participation in stakeholder, ISO, and regulatory processes/proceedings. Develops presentation and communication materials and represents the Company before regulatory staff and other external stakeholders. Completes deliverables on a timely basis with high levels of communication and internal/external coordination. Reports to the Director of Electric Transmission Services. Preferred location is Binghamton, NY. May require frequent travel to Albany, NY.
MAJOR ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Leads cross-functional teams, both internally and externally, to ensure favorable outcomes in regulatory proceedings. Coaches and guides team members.
Leads Avangrid NYSEG/RGE participation in NYISO and related stakeholder processes, including representation on, and leadership of, stakeholder committees as needed to advance Company interests.
Represents the Company in meetings, hearings, and technical sessions with federal and state regulatory staff.
Performs strategic, financial and technical analyses to develop and implement company strategies to proactively seek opportunities to support the growth and profitability of NYSEG/RGE interests.
Participates on behalf of the company in industry groups and associations.
Evaluates and summarizes documents for regulatory, policy, strategy, and business implications, including but not limited to Company documents, interview notes, regulatory filings, interrogatories, orders, and reports.
Produces PowerPoint presentations, Word reports and regulatory filings, and Excel analyses as necessary.
Develops information for executive-level decision making and makes presentations to executives and steering committees.
May coordinate and lead the work efforts of other internal and external department employees.
May be responsible for regulatory compliance functions for NYSEG/RGE and other Avangrid Networks companies.
