Job Summary

The CAPEX Sr. Buyer is accountable for local commercial management and assigned strategic sourcing for the geographical area under his / her responsibility. This specific role will be responsible for CAPEX and industrialization as our site scales and grows. The CAPEX Sr. Buyer will work with the Industrialization team to create Statements of Work (SOW), solicit bids from contractors and suppliers, negotiate costs, schedules and contracts, and select suppliers, in partnership with stakeholders.

Job Responsibilities

• Responsible for drafting of SOW for CAPEX and Industrialization projects
• Responsible for RFP/RFQ
• Responsible to identify contractors and suppliers
• Responsible for all contract negotiations, ensuring best Terms & Conditions.
• Manages commercial scope of contract is maintained through lifecycle of project, ensuring scope, cost and schedule creep is curbed.
• Responsible for all PO demands placed upon suppliers to ensure that Key Objectives of cost, quality and delivery are secured
• Responsible for developing and supporting site cost reduction opportunities and supplier development plans in-line with business requirements.
• Responsible for supplier risk including use of rate readiness templates and awareness of Dunn & Bradstreet for financials
• Responsible for the resolution of Invoice queries related to pricing
  

Job Qualifications:

• Bachelors Degree, or equivalent in Business, Engineering, or Science Discipline; Will consider 8 years of relevant work experience in lieu of a degree.
• Eight (7) years experience in Procurement/Commercial or Supply Chain Management roles.
• Five (5) years minimum experience in Procurement role specific to CAPEX purchasing supporting large, multi-million dollar contract negotiations.
• Ability to build relations with a supplier network and having insight in suppliers processes A track record of Leadership to work with cross functional teams
• U.S. Person per ITAR regulations to comply with export compliance and site SSA requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

• MBA
• APICS or equivalent qualifications
