Our growing consumer products client is seeking a Senior Cost Analyst to assist with the daily and monthly operations of inventory accounting and related month-end close processes. Reporting to the Accounting Manager, the Senior Cost Analyst will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

• Manage all aspects of inventory including gross margin and product line analysis and related reserves; inventory reconciliation, reserves, and variance & COGS analysis
• Collaborate extensively with cross functioning departments to optimize inventory levels and provide analysis for process improvement and identify opportunities for greater revenue flows
• Oversee the daily and monthly cost accounting operations and to ensure GAAP compliance and cost accounting procedures
• Participate in the month-end close duties including journal entries, COGS and inventory reserve & reconciliation, intercompany and consolidation entries, and financial analysis
• Assist with special ad-hoc projects as needed

The qualified Senior Cost Analyst will possess:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• At least 4+ years of experience in G/L accounting with solid exposure to cost accounting and GAAP
• Excellent analytical skills and cross functional collaboration abilities
• Solid Excel skills, such as pivot tables and V-lookups
• Prior experience with Oracle is preferred, but no required
• Excellent communication (both verbal and written), organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
