We need the person that can catch all of the balls in the air so that our founder can focus on servicing existing clients and helping more people. We have two primary client sets, supporting retirees and business owners. We are focused on continued growth and are looking for someone to bring an energy and excitement to contribute to that effort. As the firm expands, there will be opportunities to grow your role, depending on what is important to you. This role is fully remote and can be performed from anywhere in the US.
We are currently hiring an Associate Financial Advisor to play a pivotal role in supporting our founder, our clients, and our continued growth. This will include client-specific, account-specific, and general business functions. Whether it’s setting up new accounts, handling service requests, supporting client relationships, or actively participating in the planning process, you take ownership of the task and follow it to completion. You will follow the highest standard of business and professional ethics, as well as legal and regulatory requirements.

You can move through your work efficiently while recognizing that the detailed work in our business is critical. You have enough experience and/or common sense to know that the first answer isn’t always the right one and you are incredibly resourceful and thoughtful in all your interactions. This role is ideal for those who wish to develop client advisory skills under the guidance and mentorship of an experienced and highly successful advisor.
You are going to be tech savvy, an adopter of change and always willing to help. You are naturally curious, love organization and detail work. You have been in the business awhile and understand many, if not all, client situations, even when complex. Because of this, you are proactive and able to help clients and your advisors steer clear of landmines.
General Responsibilities:
- Support founder with preparation of well-polished documentation and presentation materials for meetings
- Attend and participate in meetings with prospects and existing clients; for the purpose of notetaking and follow up
- Summarize meeting and schedule action items in contact management software
- Work in conjunction with the founder to deliver services to clients
- Work with team to ensure all actions for clients are tracked and completed
- Communicate and follow up regularly with clients, developing strong relationships and rapport
- Coordinate financial plan development, including initial financial plan data entry, development and working with advisory team to develop recommendations; continuous monitoring of plan and any necessary changes
- Create quarterly and/or annual client summaries of net worth, estate distribution, insurance, income tax, cash flow projections, and investments
- Prepare investment and insurance account paperwork and manage the transfer of assets
- Respond promptly to client service requests, troubleshoot service issues, and provide effective solutions
- Manage the life insurance process; application, design, scheduling exams, providing additional documentation, getting the policy finalized and delivered
- Assume cashiering function with custodians, ensuring accurate and efficient financial transaction processing
- Interface with custodians to complete new account applications and various account maintenance items, process cash and securities transactions, follow up as needed
- Prepare, organize, coordinate, and maintain all client paperwork and electronic files in their respective folders and our client portal; ability to work with clients and colleagues on sharing documents
- Update and maintain client status and information within CRM and all internal systems and reports
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in finance, financial planning, or a related field
- 1-3 years of progressive experience in wealth management and insurance, supporting one or more financial advisors required
- Series 7/66 or some equivalent variation required
- CFP® designation highly preferred, or intention to obtain CFP® designation within 12 months
- Familiarity Morningstar, eMoney, Salesforce or similar software preferred
- Advanced level proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Excellent communication skills and a sense of urgency
- Excellent customer service and administrative abilities
- Can-do attitude, enthusiastic, and a strong aptitude for learning
- The ability to effectively prioritize workloads and complete tasks within well-defined guidelines and time constraints is essential
- Organizational skills and attention to detail are critical given the nature of paperwork, processes, and work, upon which both clients and the advisory team depend
- This person is an intelligent, analytical thinker with the ability to draw on a range of resources to ensure a high-quality outcomes across the position's responsibilities

Compensation: $75K-$85K DOE + Bonus
