We are hiring a Lead Advisor to fill an integral role within our wealth management team. After an immersion and transition period, you will be responsible for a specific set of clients, you will support the discovery and onboarding process with prospective and new clients, you will develop and mentor the client-facing team, and you will consistently provide leadership across the firm. Our service model is deeper than most and we are looking for an advisor that shares our philosophy and embraces the depth of client relationship that we feel is vital to our culture. You will bring enough experience in front of clients that you are comfortable and confident in any situation. We are looking for someone to be a contributor at the executive level, for firm-wide initiatives and for client experience.

In this role, you will be chiefly accountable for:

  • Retain 100-120 client relationships by providing excellent service - (80%)
  • Lead and mentor other members of the advisory team – (10%)
  • Identify growth opportunities within your client set – (10%)

Retain 100-120 client relationships by providing excellent service - (80%)

  • Leads, manages, and engages directly with a group of clients to best support their financial, investment, and risk outcomes; engages directly and is responsible for client retention and relationship with assigned key firm clients
  • Leads strategic development of financial plans, developing recommendations and solutions in the best interest of the client and ensuring those plans are executed
  • Communicates with clients by understanding the needs, objectives, goals, concerns and translates those into an actionable and disciplined plan
  • Provide objective, unbiased financial advice to a diverse mix of clients by analyzing investment opportunities, tax planning and client needs
  • Client meeting preparation: review all required paperwork and notes prior to meetings
  • Client service, including planning updates, portfolio changes and reviews, returns and new opportunity identification, in tandem with support team
  • Client asset management, including coordination of complete financial planning and wealth management (analysis, estate planning, tax strategies for assets under management, portfolio, and management)

Lead and mentor other members of the advisory team – (10%)

  • Develop and mentor a client-facing team through their career lifecycle and professional development
  • Accountability partner to team of advisors to ensure personal growth targets are met on an annual basis
  • Provide management with insights into industry trends, best practices and service offering needs to support the firm’s growth

Identify growth opportunities within your client set – (10%)

  • Identify opportunities to deepen existing client relationships by ensuring they are taking full advantage of our various services; net new asset goals set annually
  • Proactively seek referrals from clients to generate new business; referrals goals set annually

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferably in business, accounting, finance, economics or related program
  • 7+ years of progressive client-facing experience in investment management, wealth management or financial planning with demonstrated ability to develop and manage plans and client relationships at many levels
  • CFP designation required; Advanced degree or additional certifications preferred (CFA, MBA, CPA, JD)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with various financial planning, CRM, portfolio management and document management software
  • Experience in our tech stack a plus (Redtail, Holistiplan, eMoney, Charles Schwab, Orion, GReminders, Riskalyze, FP Pathfinder, Social Security Solutions)
  • Has a deep understanding of RIA channel and independent financial advice environment
  • A genuine interest in serving and caring for clients
  • Financial planning/wealth management acumen, judgment and experience
  • Subject matter expert in financial planning and complex client cases
  • Extensive knowledge in financial planning analysis and modeling specifically to HNW clients
  • Continuously exhibits personal integrity and professional initiative
  • Reliable, follows through on commitments, does not shrink from new challenges
  • Excellent verbal, written, presentation, listening, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to deal with an ever-changing industry and evolution of a high-growth firm
  • Excellent time management and strong organizational skills, and ability to prioritize multiple tasks and anticipate potential problems
  • Possesses a passion to help new and existing clients
  • Must be organized, detail-oriented and able to manage and prioritize tasks

Compensation: $155K - $185K DOE
