We are seeking a Chief Operating Officer/Chief of Staff who can also function as a strategic executive partner to the founder. This unique hybrid role combines high-level operations leadership with hands-on execution, aligns vision, and represents the organization externally. This person must be confident, grounded, and execution-focused—someone capable of building scalable systems and teams while honoring the creative and evolving nature of the company’s vision. You will help us grow from a boutique firm to an operation that functions like a $1B+ development company, both in its systems and in its leadership presence. Key Responsibilities Operational Oversight & Team Management • Lead and manage all office operations, ensuring smooth workflows and accountability across staff • Be the central presence in the office, maintaining visibility with team members and overseeing their well-being, performance, and alignment with company values. • Run internal check-ins, build team culture, and maintain high standards of excellence and communication Growth Strategy & Systems Development • Strategically scale the company’s internal operations to function like a quarter-billion to billion-dollar firm • Build and implement systems, SOPs, and organizational processes that support rapid and sustainable growth • Lead hiring and recruitment alongside the founder, bringing on top talent and third-party consultants (HR, accounting, marketing, CFO, etc.) Founder & Vision Support • Serve as a true partner to the founder, grounding their vision in operational systems without needing to fully “understand” the creative process • Protect and amplify the founder’s voice and evolving vision with care, confidence, and loyalty • Ensure the entire team stays aligned with the spirit of the vision, even when it shifts Company Representation & External Voice • Be the professional voice of the company to investors, banks, lenders, and key stakeholders • Lead high-level external communications about the company and its projects with clarity, presence, and authority • Represent the firm when needed in meetings, investor calls, conferences, and public forums Ideal Background • 7–15 years of leadership experience in real estate development, finance, operations, or entrepreneurial environments. real estate, proptech, or development sector preferred • Proven experience building and scaling internal systems for high-growth companie• Strong executive presence and emotional intelligence—capable of leading both strategy and execution • Deeply confident in their abilities, with humility and care for a vision greater than themselves • Comfortable in the ambiguity of a creative-led business and inspired to bring structure to a fluid, evolving mission • $150,000 – $220,000 base salary, plus performance bonus and equity potential(Exact compensation commensurate with experience and market benchmarks) About Visionary Development Enterprises Visionary Developments is a privately held real estate firm delivering projects from concept to completion - overseeing acquisitions, design, master planning, capital structuring, construction, and management. 580+ Units Under Development $360M+ Assets Under Management 500k+ Developed Square Feet Leadership Team Driven by the commitment to creating spaces that foster growth and transformation, Harris is dedicated to delivering thoughtfulness, and innovation across every project.
