Must have experience;

Sage500 Technical Expertise

· In-depth knowledge of Sage500 architecture, database, and server requirements.

· Experience in upgrading Sage500 from legacy versions to the latest version.

· Understanding of Sage500 functional modules and customizations (e.g., advanced allocation, FYISoft).

Infrastructure & Environment Management

· Experience in assessing and upgrading infrastructure (servers, databases) for Sage500.

· Ability to manage test environment for Sage500 upgrades.

Risk Mitigation & Troubleshooting

· Proficiency in identifying risks during the upgrade and implementing mitigation strategies.

· Advanced troubleshooting skills to resolve issues related to Sage500, integrations, or infrastructure upgrade.

Systems Integration & Data Migration

· Expertise in managing integrations with other systems (ERP, financial apps) and ensuring seamless operation post-upgrade.

· Expertise in data migration techniques to ensure data integrity during the upgrade process.

QA & Testing

· Ability to manage QA cycles for the Sage500 upgrade (functional, performance, integration).

Technical Documentation & Communication

· Strong documentation skills for technical processes, including runbooks and system changes.

· Ability to communicate complex technical details to non-technical stakeholders.

Security & Compliance

· Understanding of Sage500’s security model and ensuring compliance during the upgrade.

· Experience in running security audits or penetration tests post-upgrade.

Performance Optimization

· Experience in performance tuning for both Sage500 and its underlying infrastructure (databases, servers).

· Familiarity with performance monitoring tools and addressing performance degradation.

Integration Management

· Expertise in managing critical system integrations ensuring no disruption to finance operations.
