Corporate Instructional Designer

$40 - $65 /hr

We are seeking an experienced Instructional Designer who specializes in training and organizational development. You will be responsible for consulting with stakeholders throughout a large organization, designing and developing effective digital training solutions, and adapting the curriculum to a digital format.

About Our Client

This role will support an Organizational Training and Development team within a large multi-national consulting firm.

Responsibilities

  • Consult with internal clients to define needs, objectives, constraints, etc

  • Lead/manage the design, development and deployment of targeted learning interventions that align to and ensure attainment of client’s business objectives.

  • Create learning assets;

    • write scripts for web-based courses, including scenario-based learning modules, and create supporting material/media (e.g., audio, video, simulations, role plays, job aids);

    • use e-learning applications and tools to author web-based courses/self-paced courseware;

    • convert formerly in-person content or live content to self-study content.

  • Build out learning paths, at a foundational level, that could lead to "digital credentials".

  • Track and manage project deliverable schedules.

  • Meet with management and stakeholders regularly to review project initiatives and provide status updates.

Education & Certifications

  • Bachelors degree required, Masters preferred in Instructional Design, Human Resources Management, or another related field

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience designing and developing training in a corporate learning environment

  • Demonstrable knowledgeable of best practices in adult learning, learner engagement, and curriculum and training development;

    • experience designing & delivering highly interactive, experiential blended learning solutions utilizing various platforms,

    • history of exhibiting strong personal initiative, i.e. known as someone who is willing to roll up their sleeves and get the job done in a timely and consistent manner, and

    • [Bonus] any experience with compliance, creating CPE worthy learning solutions comply with NASBA, PCAOB and other governing and regulatory body requirements

  • Proven expertise in prioritization and delegation;

    • demonstrated ability to be effective in supporting multiple stakeholders working in various locations across different business units,

    • comfortable switching between tasks quickly, pivoting to align with leadership priorities, especially in today's rapidly changing climate,

    • business-minded learning professional,

    • a change agent who can build collaborative relationships across a matrixed organization, and

    • [Bonus] any experience in professional services.

  • Multiple years of demonstrated ability to project manage one's own work

    • Highly action-oriented, with strong project management skills and

    • a leadership style characterized by strong influencing skills
