About the role

The successful candidate will play an important role in designing and creating effective and engaging learning experiences and supporting faculty training. Our ideal candidate has strong faculty collaboration experience, strong course content writing/editing skills, and is excited about business topics.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop compelling course content and engaging learning activities in consultation with subject matter experts

  • Review courses during the design, development, and delivery phases for sound pedagogical and instructional design practices

  • Redesign content to ensure it meets learner needs and accessibility requirements

  • Develop a variety of assessments such as quizzes, case studies, analysis assignments, etc

  • Maintains standards and guidelines for the design, programming, and documentation of course design and development

  • Develop and facilitate faculty training

  • Analyze and evaluate new instructional tools and technologies and recommend new approaches to improve course design and delivery

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in instructional design, education or curriculum and instruction or a bachelor’s degree in business.

  • Minimum of one (1) year of instructional design experience

  • In-depth knowledge of learning theories and instructional design models

  • Demonstrated skill in developing effective course content

  • Proficiency with Canvas Learning Management System

  • Instructional design in a higher education environment preferred

  • Strong communication and attention to detail
