Product Manager - Gaming Category

Our client, a global technology leader, is looking for a Product Manager - Games Category - who will play a vital role in managing product portfolios, overseeing promotional assets, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet business goals.

The Product Manager will oversee first-party games for the retail portfolio and support program execution with retail partners to help meet business targets. This exciting role allows you to work directly with new game releases from Xbox, contributing to high-profile product launches in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Top Required Skills (Must Haves):

  1. 3-5 years of experience working in the gaming industry.
  2. 3-5 years of experience managing category or product portfolios within a retail channel or partner setting.
  3. Strong ability to analyze sales data, draw relevant conclusions, and develop accurate business plans and forecasts.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Provide support to the Senior Games Category Manager in overseeing the P&L for the games product portfolio and making recommendations for retailer programs and promotions.
  • Manage product launch assets, building and maintaining workback schedules, and ensuring timely updates for key stakeholders.
  • Refresh promotional materials and lifecycle management assets.
  • Forecast demand for new and existing products, using historical and comparative title data to support promotions and seasonality planning.
  • Build and maintain allocation trackers for new game launches, ensuring adequate supply and coordinating with operations to maintain stock levels.
  • Strengthen reporting initiatives, including weekly title reports, allocation reports, and pre-order performance.
  • Create sales tools that support retail programs, equipping the sales team with insights and resources.
  • Collaborate with worldwide category, channel marketing, and local teams to ensure alignment across global and regional programs.

Qualifications/Experience:

  • 3-5 years of experience managing product or category portfolios, preferably within a retail channel.
  • Experience in the gaming industry, with a strong understanding of the market landscape.
  • Proven ability to analyze sales data, identify trends, and develop actionable business plans.
  • Experience planning and executing marketing strategies that align with brand goals and drive measurable business outcomes.
