Senior Technical Engineer

Our client, a leading global technology company, is seeking a Senior Technical Program Engineer – Industrial Controls to support their Critical Environments Service Intelligence (CESI) team. This role will focus on managing software solutions for critical data center equipment, transitioning operations to a Microsoft-owned solution. Top Required Skills (Must-Haves):

  • Azure and Azure Services (3+ years) – Experience with deploying and managing workloads in cloud and edge environments using Azure services.
  • Hardware (3+ years) – Strong understanding of hardware infrastructure and ability to work with Linux and Windows-based devices.
  • Kubernetes and Linux (1-2 years) – Experience with container-based services, including Kubernetes and networking.

How You Will Make an Impact:

Azure Infrastructure and Automation:

  • Develop Azure infrastructure to deploy workloads in both cloud and edge environments.
  • Write unit and integration tests to ensure reliable deployment pipelines.
  • Create automation to verify software reliability through CI/CD and telemetry pipelines.

Software Development and Operations:

  • Build Kubernetes-based services to manage namespace, pod/workload application data path, and security.
  • Monitor and optimize infrastructure using Azure Monitor and Azure Defender.
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software issues, making necessary system changes to resolve problems.

Strategic Development and Process Improvement:

  • Develop telemetry and analytics solutions for critical infrastructure.
  • Provide insights and actions to improve scalability, reliability, and service utilization.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to enhance automation and system resilience.

The Expertise You Bring:

Required:

  • 5-7 years of experience in a technical program management or software development role.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
  • Hands-on experience with Azure services, Kubernetes, and Linux/Windows infrastructure.

Preferred:

  • Experience with data center operations, control systems, or manufacturing infrastructure.
  • Strong understanding of CI/CD, telemetry pipelines, and automation tools.
  • Familiarity with container-based networking and infrastructure security.
