Director of Identity and Access Management

Team Red Dog is seeking a Director of Identity and Access Management (IAM) to lead strategy and execution for our client’s enterprise environment. This is an exciting opportunity to build and scale a secure, modern identity architecture across cloud, hybrid, and on-prem environments. You’ll lead the transformation of IAM operations to support business continuity, security, and digital workforce initiatives—leveraging your expertise in IAM platforms, Zero Trust, and leadership of technical teams.

Top Required Skills (Must Haves):

  • Identity and Access Management (IAM): Proven experience leading enterprise IAM strategies including lifecycle management, SSO, MFA, RBAC, and provisioning/de-provisioning.
  • IAM Tools & Platforms: Hands-on expertise with tools such as SailPoint, Okta, Ping Identity, Azure AD, or CyberArk.
  • Privileged Access Management (PAM): Deep understanding of securing privileged credentials and enforcing least privilege principles.
  • Leadership: Strong people leadership and the ability to mentor and grow high-performing teams in a complex environment.

Opportunity Overview:

This role is an exciting opportunity to lead the design and delivery of a modern identity fabric for a large organization undergoing digital transformation. You’ll work closely with cybersecurity, IT, and business teams to ensure secure, seamless access across the enterprise, including hybrid and remote workforce needs. Your impact will directly support Zero Trust security architecture, compliance, and user experience.

How you will make an impact:

  • Develop and lead enterprise-wide identity fabric strategy aligned with security, compliance, and business goals
  • Architect and deploy secure identity solutions across cloud, hybrid, and on-prem environments
  • Oversee IAM operations including authentication, authorization, role-based access, SSO, MFA, and automated provisioning
  • Implement and govern PAM policies and tools for privileged access control
  • Lead and mentor an IAM team, ensuring performance, development, and alignment with emerging identity trends
  • Drive Zero Trust initiatives and embed security-by-design across IAM practices

The expertise you bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or related field (Master’s preferred)
  • 10+ years of IAM or information security experience, with 5+ years in a leadership role
  • Advanced knowledge of IAM and PAM tools such as SailPoint, Okta, Ping, Azure AD, CyberArk
  • Strong understanding of identity governance, RBAC, JIT access, Zero Trust principles, and user lifecycle automation
  • Familiarity with compliance frameworks including GDPR, HIPAA, SOX
  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CIAM preferred

Estimated Start Date: May 1, 2025
Location: Onsite in Seattle, WA
Rate: Based on experience; market range $180K–$200K

Term: Contract role with future opportunities to become a full-time position.
