Team Red Dog is seeking a Communications & Project Specialist to support our client, Microsoft, in a dynamic hybrid role based in Redmond, WA. This exciting opportunity blends strategic communications, technical writing, project coordination, and data management—ideal for professionals passionate about responsible innovation, human rights, and ethical supply chain practices.

Top Required Skills (Must Haves):

  1. Writing & Content Creation (5–7 years): Craft compelling narratives for reports, newsletters, SharePoint, and process documentation. Strong storytelling and editing skills are essential.
  2. Data Management & Organization (5–7 years): Collect and structure supply chain and stakeholder data for reporting and analysis. Ensure version control and audit readiness.
  3. Project Management (5–7 years): Coordinate cross-functional communications and documentation projects. Develop timelines, manage stakeholder relationships, and support tool/process development.
  4. SharePoint & Visual Design: Maintain and update external-facing SharePoint content. Create charts, graphs, and layouts using Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft tools.

Opportunity Overview:

This role is a unique blend of communications, technical writing, and light data management, offering variety and the chance to shape how Microsoft’s Responsible Business Practices (RBP) team presents its work. You’ll contribute to high-impact initiatives like the Human Rights Transparency Report and support ethical business conduct across global operations.

How you will make an impact:

  • Manage and coordinate human rights and supply chain-related projects focused on reporting and communications
  • Develop and execute project plans, integrating cross-functional activities
  • Write, edit, and produce content for reports, newsletters, SharePoint, and process documentation
  • Maintain and update SharePoint content and design visual solutions for web and publications
  • Collect, manage, and analyze supply chain data to support transparency reporting
  • Collaborate on AI tool development to streamline workflows and enhance insights

The expertise you bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Business Administration, Design, or related field
  • 5–7 years of experience in communications, technical writing, and project coordination
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Visio, SharePoint, Power BI, Planner, and Adobe Creative Suite
  • Experience with Azure DevOps and Microsoft Copilot for workflow automation
  • Strong verbal and written communication, time management, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and adapt to ambiguity
